Wayne National Forest- Ironton District
The Wayne National Forest is Ohio's only National Forest. Spread over different areas, the Ironton District is the most southern. Lawrence County is located at the bottom or most southern point of the state. The Wayne National Forest covers a large part of northern Lawrence County. The Ironton District offers camping, backpacking, kayaking, hunting and many other recreational activities.
